For me, the Thames has never been just a river. It’s a living thread, running from Oxford to the Docklands, carrying stories, trade and generations of lives. Coming back to sand casting felt natural, I love its raw, unpredictable quality. Casting from river mud, I wanted each piece to feel like a talisman, something found and held close. The docks, with their arrivals and partings, made me think about relationships, closeness, absence and reunion.
